We Are The Weirdos Ohio was founded in 2021 after Math Byler and Rachel Raymond were finding their alternative graphic apparel company, Xraeart Clothing Co., wasn’t quite the right fit for traditional maker markets in the NE Ohio area. The duo organized the first Punk Rock Flea Market Akron in the summer of 2022 to create more opportunities for alternative artists and small businesses to sell their goods.

To create a thriving space for alternative artists and makers in Ohio to connect with each other and showcase what they can do when they have a market all of their own.

ALT OHIO MARKETS

To give our community an alternative vendor market in the Northeast Ohio area where they can shop from multiple small businesses and engage with people that have the same interests as they do. We all deserve and need it.

FAIR-PRICED VENDOR FEES

To provide vendors with affordable fees. We are vendors ourselves and understand how pressing it ca n be for businesses trying to survive and grow. We use the fee money to pay for venue cost, promotion & extra goodies that make our events special.

SAFETY

To make our shows as safe as possible for vendors and attendees. We feel it is our responsibility to take care of our vendors in any way possible, to provide a safe environment to sell, free of anxiety and vulnerability.

COMMUNICATION

To provide vendors with the information needed to set them up for success as early as possible. The more info the vendor has ahead of time, the better their set up and offerings can be, and the more time they’ll have to focus on the show. We will always be available to help answer any and all questions.

FAIR-PRICED ENTRANCE FEES

To provide community events free of charge or for a low fee for attendees. We want attendees to be able to shop from multiple small businesses and to not spend a ton of money on entrance fees just to get into the event.
